Mike & Winifred Pratt
I was very young when I first met Geoff, during visits to Elsham. Despite being much older than me he took me under his wing and showed me many fascinating aspects of the wildlife on the Elsham Moor estate. Later, when he started work at ICI in Welwyn Garden City, he came to live in Hitchin with my parents and me, and during this period he encouraged me in my hobbies and pursuits. Later we both moved around quite a lot, but we always kept in touch. Winifred and I have fond memories of him, and were delighted to be able to trade a few reminiscences with him at Joyce's funeral in 2019, which was the last occasion we spoke to him in person. We shall miss him.
